This week was filled with writing and recipes, lots of photos on Instagram and working on my second book. And, I wanted to share my new headshot by the wonderful Kim DeLoach!
Every month, I get to share on some wonderful websites with women in all stages of life: moms, single women, empty nesters, you name it. I’m thrilled to be part of a community of writing women who communicate honestly from their hearts and deep life experiences. We write about all sorts of different topics but all relevant to what it means to be a woman in today’s world.
Two of my guest posts were published this week and in case you didn’t get to see them, I wanted to give you the opportunity. Each site has many wonderful posts dealing with all facets of being a Christian woman trying to make sense of this crazy life. I urge you to look around and check out some of the other articles you’ll find at each one.
First up, mothersofdaughters.com. If you’ve got one girl or a houseful, you will love the wisdom you’ll find from all the different mothers of daughters here. My post is titled, Even on the Worst Days There’s the Possibility for Joy and I share five ways to find “the joy, the divine in the midst of the drudgery, the gratitude in the daily grind” on those days when you are simply OVER IT! Especially as we are coming right up against the holidays and you may be feeling anything but thankful, you might gain a new perspective and a handle on how to deal with those difficult days we all experience.
Next, at thebettermom.com I wrote a post entitled How to Make Room for Pain. I guess pain was my theme this month and I didn’t really even plan it that way! The post deals with my battle with infertility and how God used it to teach me some foundational truths and how to keep my pain from hijacking my peace. I share although pain might be part of your story, it doesn’t have to be your whole story!
And here are links to the posts I published right here this week:
- First, cheesy and divine, Ina Garten’s fabulous recipe for Mushroom Lasagna. If you love mushrooms, this is for you!
- Sometimes God has to remind me, I’m not in control. He shows me when I’m trusting more in me than Him. He showed me clearly this week and reminded me no matter what, when I don’t know what the future will bring, He is there: He’s In The Future.
- Finally, master these five and you will save money and be a Kitchen Princess! Crisp croutons, classic homemade vinaigrette, sweet whipped cream, savory beef and chicken marinades and easy tomato sauce, all in one place. Five Easy Homemade Staples.
I hope you have a wonderful and blessed week!
Hugs 🙂 Kate
