Hi friend!
I’m Kate Battistelli and I’m a speaker, author, podcaster, and former actress in the Broadway Theatre world. I love equipping women to walk into their destinies and take their own personal God Dares.
I’m a natural encourager and I’m here to help you believe God has a divine purpose just for you…planned before the foundation of the world.
I love speaking at conferences and women’s events all around the country, equipping women to trust God even in the hard times. I’m one third of the popular Mom to Mom Podcast. We’re 3 generations of moms (with 16 children between us!) who don’t always have all the answers but we’ll always point you to the one who does.
We tackle anything and everything that has to do with being a mom in this crazy, mixed up world and we do it according to God’s word and principles.
I’ve been married to my husband Mike for 38 years and we’re the parents of Grammy-winning recording artist Francesca Battistelli and Mimi to her 6 adorable children. Before giving my life to the Lord, I toured for almost 3 years in the Broadway National Tour of The King and I playing Anna opposite Yul Brynner as the King.
I’m the author of the bestseller The God Dare:Will You Choose to Believe the Impossible? published by Barbour Publishing and Growing Great Kids: Partner With God to Cultivate His Purpose in Your Child’s Life, published by Charisma House. I’m a New Jersey girl living in Franklin, TN, and I love to share what I’ve learned about God, family, food, and hospitality. My passion is to remind you there’s a big God Dare with your name on it!
You know that crazy idea you have right now? The one that’s way too big for you? I call it a God Dare and it’s Him, divinely nudging you. Take the plunge! Whatever it is, Just Do It. If you fall flat on your face, so what? What if you don’t? What if it is God and He has a huge plan just for you?
I always imagined myself as the mom of 4 or 5 kids, house in disarray, chaos, crumbs, and craziness everywhere. But things don’t always turn out the way we want, do they? God had a different path, a unique story crafted just for me. His plan? Give me one precious child and teach me day by day and year by year. He slowly helped Mike and I uncover her gifts and talents deep within and taught us what we needed to do to give her dreams wings. I wrote about our struggle with infertility and having an only child here.

In my former life, I was an actress and singer living the dream in New York City. For years, I pursued fame and fortune on Broadway with the goal to be a Tony Award-winning star! I performed all over the country doing regional theatre, dinner theatre, children’s theatre, off-off broadway, you name it.
In 1981, I auditioned for the role of the understudy of Anna in the National Tour of The King and I starring Yul Brynner. I got the part and diligently rehearsed and rehearsed until I knew my role backward and forwards. I never expected I’d get the chance to perform with Yul Brynner. But God has a way of making the impossible seem logical!
I started out as the understudy to the leading lady but after a few months, I ended up replacing her and taking on the huge responsibility of leading lady, performing all over the U.S. for nearly 3 years and 1,000 performances.
Sometimes your dreams do come true. Interesting that my big break was with The King and I. Now it’s just the King…and i!
