Nothing can warm you to your toes like a big steaming bowl of chili! It’s perfect for these cold winter days and there’s nothing more comforting than a pot bubbling on your stove filling your house with an undeniably amazing fragrance. I know what you’re thinking. Cinnamon in chili? Is she nuts? And chocolate-how can that be any good? All I can say is trust me. This is my most requested recipe of all time. People love it and I think if you give it a try, you will too!
American
Popovers
When I was growing up, popovers were a staple on holidays. Made either by my mom or sister, we would devour them along with crisp bacon, scrambled eggs my dad made special by adding cheese & chives, and fresh fruit. They’re lovely, light, crisp and slightly eggy and the perfect vehicle for soft butter and homemade jam or marmalade. You can also do a savory version with cheese and herbs. I keep mine very simple.
Chocolate Almond Butter Crunch
This simple, time-tested and beloved recipe will bring squeals of delight from every happy recipient. I guarantee it! I’ve been making homemade chocolate buttercrunch for 30 years and it is my most requested goodie at Christmas time.
Raw, Vegan, Veggie Pasta Salad
I love a good, spicy peanut sauce and mixed with spinach fettuccine and lovely shredded veggies this becomes a wonderful cold main dish pasta or a perfect side dish to bring to a pot luck. Use gluten free pasta if you want to keep this totally gluten free. Or, keep it completely raw by subbing ribbons of zucchini for the pasta!
Fresh Blueberry Muffins
Nothing beats fresh blueberry muffins in the morning. Easy, delicious and satisfying, your family will be delighted!
