The perfect marriage of dark and tangy balsamic vinegar, garlic, chicken, spices and the low and slow cooking in a crock pot. Fall off the bone tender and delicious!
6-8organic chicken thighs-preferably bone-in and skin onor, any combo of breasts, thighs and legs
3tablespoonsoliveavocado, or coconut oil
1tablespoondried thyme
2tablespoonsdriedminced onion
1tablespoongarlic powder
1tablespoonpaprika
1tablespoonextra virgin olive oil
1tablespooneach salt and pepper
5garlic cloveschopped
1/2cupOrganic Balsamic Vinegar
3tablespoonschopped parsley
Instructions
Remove chicken from package and dry the chicken pieces.
Mix the thyme, minced onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Dip each piece of chicken in the spice mix, front and back.
Heat the oil in a large skillet and when hot, add the chicken pieces and cook about 5 minutes on each side, till nice and brown.
Put the chopped garlic, remaining spices, extra virgin olive oil and the balsamic vinegar in the bottom of your crock pot. Add the chicken, skin side up.
